    The Perfect Summer Playlist

As the storms that rocked our nation in the final stretch of summer begin to clear and the healing begins, cooler temps arrive to remind us that the season is officially coming to an end. If you’re like me, you’re eagerly anticipating the colder, sweater weather. But more than just the PSLs and crisper fall air, the season delivers fresh new albums from many anchoring artists in music. The ladies are set to rule the fall season this year with releases from Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Camila Cabello, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, P!nk, Shania Twain and more set to drop before the holiday season arrives. But before we usher in…

Cafe Roze in East Nashville is the Best All Day Restaurant

When Bar Luca closed in my East Nashville neighborhood, I was devastated. Mostly because the lighting was perfection for photos, but the rosé on tap didn’t hurt either. Then Cafe Roze opened their all-day cafe just blocks from my home. Hidden deep on East Nashville’s Porter Road, Cafe Roze looked like it was the answer to my Bar Luca void. Score! Our first trip to Cafe Roze (pronounced like the flower, not the wine) was forgettable. The bitchy queen that greeted us at the door for our simple breakfast was unfriendly and his explanation of the wait times sent us packing up the street. I persevered though, unable to give up…

Man Crush Monday: My Love Story

V for Vetrano here with some not-so-breaking news. In one of my recent posts, I dropped a bomb about wedding planning which made some of you go “woah… wait!…what?!” Sorry about that. I realize my personal life has been pretty obsolete from the blog until now. But after years of blogging about music and entertainment, I’m finally ready to share my love story and a peek into my life outside of the Housewives, Taylors and Britneys. Starting with Joe, my forever Man Crush Monday. My Love Story For most of my early adult life, I was single. I didn’t really mind because I was focused on building a business and…

Let Kelly Clarkson Move You: The Deep Cuts

She’s back! Kelly Clarkson debuted her highly anticipated new single “Love So Soft” this morning. The singer took to her socials over the last week to tease the new single with imagery and short clips of the track. Then yesterday, she teased the hashtag #MoveYou accompanied by a clip of what sounds like another track causing the internet to go into a frenzy. “Is a full Clarkson album on the way?,” “Are we getting a double dose of new Kelly goodness?” This morning, along with Clarkson’s new fiery single, she dropped the emotional new ballad “Move You,” along with the artwork (seen below) and title of her upcoming album. When talking…

5 Reasons I Am Over Summer

It’s no secret if you know me, I don’t care much for summer. I know it’s a controversial statement and I’m likely in the minority, but I’m not a fan of sweating through every layer of clothing I own. Which probably explains my struggle with fitness. And more than that, I’ve somehow managed to be the only person in my large Italian family that can’t catch a tan. At least without burning to a crisp first. There’s nothing more I love to do on a hot summer day than sit inside and cuddle up to a movie on the couch. In fact, why even get out of bed at all?…

Dear Katy Perry: An Open Letter to a Pop Star

Dear Katy Perry, You look tired. The vivacious pop star that once graced the top of the charts with pop masterpieces that made boys dream about “California Girls” and girls relive their “Last Friday Night” is seemingly distant. And that’s okay. We’re not mad, we’re just worried. What started as a low-key feud with Taylor Swift, turned into a full-blown war. A war you’re not winning. You performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2015; a moment that should have defined you, at the top of your game. The colorful performance though was second fiddle to the “left shark controversy” regarding Swift’s male dancer. That’s what people remember. Then…

    Fitness Check-In: Off The Wagon

Hey all, it’s me again. V for Vetrano here to report on the fitness journey that you all joined me on a couple weeks ago, as I kicked off my commitment from #FatToFit. Thanks for the support btw! The first couple of weeks were good. I felt motivated, I showed up to Takes 2 Fitness regularly and even joined my friend Sara for a Sunday morning class (yes, I skipped brunch for bettering my body. What?!). Then something happened. Cafe Roze opened in my neighborhood, my best friend Cassadee Pope had a birthday and SHED Fitness kicked my ass. And just as fast as I was on the right track, I was…

Will & Grace Returns This Fall

NBC DELIVERS MUST SEE TV WITH WILL, GRACE, JACK AND KAREN THIS FALL WHEN ‘WILL & GRACE’ RETURNS TO NBC. If you know me, you know that I can deliver every line from all eight original seasons of Will & Grace. On command. It’s not like’s its hard, is it honey?  It’s not a skill that I’d add to my resume, but it is one that I confidently claim. Likely because some of my fondest memories growing up consist of gathering around the television every Thursday night to watch NBC‘s ‘Must See TV.’ Friends, Fraiser, Seinfeld and most importantly, Will & Grace. It was also the first time I watched characters on TV that…

20 Things Learned from My 20’s

I haven’t been in my 20’s for a few years now. In fact, in November I’ll celebrate another year into my 30th decade of life. And while I am enjoying my 30’s and the new responsibility they bring, I spend a lot of my time these days mentoring fresh-faced 20 year-olds, who are looking for the “meaning of life.” I’m no expert –and certainly no life coach– but I enjoy helping others navigate those ten wild self-discovery years known as your 20’s. If for no other reason, to remind myself. Turning 30 was both terrifying and empowering. For me, the ten transitional years before were about figuring out what it…

Taylor Swift’s Reputation: Here’s What We Know

If the internet is a source of truth, we know two things: that cough you feel coming on is definitely a life-threatening illness and Taylor Swift is making her return to music tonight. For weeks, the inter-webs have been a buzz with news that Taylor Swift was preparing the follow up to her mega successful album 1989, released in 2014. Per usual for the country-turned-pop starlet, Swift has been tight lipped about the return. Many claimed the singer was preparing a massive overhaul to her image and sound, which the singer fueled when she stripped all her social accounts and website last Friday. This week, the singer began sharing videos to her social accounts…
