I’m a big proponent of reading the labels of everything you buy. It’s important to get familiar with ingredients, and how else will you know what you’re eating? Honestly, did you even know I went anywhere? 🤣  January was a weird month, y'all. After a horrifying attack on our democracy and the continued divide of our nation, I needed a mental break. Did I get it? Nope. On January 12, I tested positive for Covid-19 (two days after the onset of my first symptoms). After playing it safe, socially distancing, wearing my mask, and following CDC protocols, I contracted the virus that I spent nearly a year afraid of getting. I still don't know where or how I got it, but I did. And that sh!t is very real! 👹

After a lot of sleep, puppy pile-ons, an overnight hospital stay, fevers peaking at 107 degrees, an added pneumonia, a ton of love from my friends and fam, and a hit to my immune system's ego, I am back! 🙌

I don't share this update for sympathy, but simply to remind you all that this global pandemic is real. It can impact anyone at any time. And it impacts us all differently. The good news is we have really some easy ways to avoid getting or spreading this virus in our country. Stay home if you feel any cold or flu-like symptoms. Get tested (even if you feel fine). And wear a mask, goddammit. 😷
