The Beauty In Totality
I admit it. I was wrong… in totality. When I posted yesterday about the solar eclipse, I said something ignorant and uninformed. To quote myself, “I personally don’t see the appeal [of the solar eclipse], but I am not a science nerd and never have been. Maybe I will feel differently today at approximately 1:27pm, but I’m always game for a good reason to party.” After seeing the solar eclipse in totality yesterday with a group of friends and loved ones, I can confidently say I’m changed. It was not just a “reason to party.” Although, there was plenty of that and it was a perfect reason to. The solar eclipse…

Solar Eclipse of the Heart
For weeks, you couldn’t turn on the news or go out in public without hearing about the solar eclipse. The whole city of Nashville has gone eclipse crazy. Eyewear (fake and protective) is selling out across the nation and people are flocking to Music City to see this once in a lifetime experience. I personally don’t see the appeal, but I am not a science nerd and never have been. Maybe I will feel differently today at approximately 1:27pm, but I’m always game for a good reason to party. And lucky for me, the solar eclipse has give Nashville a reason. If you’re in Music City for the big event…

Sunday Funday Playlist: Catching “Feels”
When Sunday morning rolls around, there’s usually only one thing that gets me out of bed. Brunch! And if you’re anything like me, you need the perfect brunch atmosphere to kick off your last day of the weekend. Typically a patio (weather dependent), a refreshing morning cocktail and the right music to fit the mood. Luckily, I have you covered on that last one. I have compiled a Sunday Funday playlist that will be the perfect companion as you sip mimosas, chat about the weekend’s gossip and pretend Monday isn’t right around the corner. No Sunday Funday would be complete without cameos from your favorite pop divas and pounding dance floor…

Takes 2 Fitness: The Power Of 2
TAKES 2 FITNESS IS NASHVILLE’S PREMIERE PERSONAL TRAINING GYM, SETTING THE BAR HIGH FOR FITNESS IN MUSIC CITY I did it! I successfully kicked-off my first week towards fitness with the help of Takes 2 Fitness in Nashville. When I decided it was time to get in shape, I knew it wouldn’t be an easy feat and I would need the support from my friends, family and access to a well-established, highly-rated Nashville gym. Lucky for me, Takes 2 Fitness has three convenient locations in the Nashville area, one being a few blocks from my office. Score! This week, I visited their Downtown location three different times. Each time, the gym…

Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria Dishes It Up
SLIM & HUSKY PIZZA BEERIA SERVES UP MADE-TO-ORDER PIZZA FROM IT’S FIRST NASHVILLE LOCATION IN NASHVILLE’S NEW BUCHANAN ARTS DISTRICT As a former resident of Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood, I like to follow the establishments popping up in that area. Especially when I can get my eat on. Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria has been on my radar for a while, but when it finally opened its doors in March I was skeptical that it was worth the long lines I’d heard were piling up down Buchanan Street. I was wrong. When I stopped by one day after work to experience the “life changing” slice of awesome, I arrived to a…

Woman Crush Wednesday: Camila Cabello
AS ONE OF MUSIC’S MOST ANTICIPATED NEW ACTS, CAMILA CABELLO IS MAKING ALL THE RIGHT MOVES TO KEEP FANS ‘GUESS’ING. Camila Cabello was once only known as one-fifth of the hit girl group, Fifth Harmony. As she gears up for the release of debut solo album The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving., Camila has become one of music’s most anticipated young talents. Her first effort as a solo act, “Crying in the Club,” hit the Hot 100 and has near 150 million streams on Spotify. A few of her other accomplishments include: several top-charting singles alongside Fifth Harmony, Machine Gun Kelly, Shawn Mendes and Pitbull, working with Sia, Pharrell, Ryan Tedder and more…

Summer Style Essentials
SUMMER HEATS UP WITH MEN’S SUMMER STYLE THAT TAKES SHABBY TO CHIC AND MAKES MEN & LADIES SWOON. Every guy has been there. You start flipping through an old issue of GQ magazine that’s been sitting on your desk for months and, “Eureka!,” you have a fashion revelation. Immediately, you run to your closet and start layering your looks to create the perfect ensemble to bring you from drab to fab. Day-after-day, you get more daring with your looks and then something terrible happens. Summer starts. Each summer, I weep my most fashionable tears, as I move my lightweight jackets and high-top sneakers to the back of the closet. There they sit…

My Big Fat American… Body
Hey, it’s me again. No, not the informative and often hilarious (no commentary please) blogger from Listen! It’s Vetrano. It’s the voice from 2015 that reminded myself –and urged my readers– to ditch the ‘Fat Jeans‘ and get back into shape. Remember that voice? I hear it often and loud enough, so I assume you hear it on your end, too. From that 2015 holiday binge to now (2017), I’ve managed –with the help of carb overloading, gallons of rosé and countless hours of sitting on my ass, watching Housewives bicker– to reach an all time high in weight. A whopping 229 lbs fat, which is about 50 lbs from…

Top 10 Songs of 2017 (…So Far)
Hey all! I am back and I apologize that you haven’t heard much from me this year. Why? Because I am busy as hell: planning a wedding (more to come on that), working for one of the fastest-growing brands, and getting settled into my new home — with my new puppy. Yep, I’m pretty much a domesticated diva these days, spending my downtime watching one bitchy Housewives franchise after another. And honestly, I needed a break to refresh my mind and reset my priorities. But, break over. To kickstart my return, because music is where I started, I’m sharing my picks for the Top 10 songs of the year… so far.…

National Watermelon Day: Yay for Frosé
Happy National Watermelon Day! It seems there’s (quite literally) a holiday for everything these days. Listen, I’m always willing to splurge on tacos and margaritas on their official national holidays (October 4th and February 22 for the record) because “why not?,” but others I can’t bring myself to acknowledge. For instance, do we really need a National Stuffed Mushroom Day?! They’re little round nuggets of mold, filled with breadcrumbs… and yes it exists, every year on February 4th. Mark your calendars. Today though, is National Watermelon Day. It may be just as useless and silly as those mentioned before, I love biting into a crisp, sweet, perfectly juicy piece of…
