Listen To Kanye West’s New Album ‘Yeezus’
Until today the highly anticipated new Kanye West record was pretty much a mystery. No traditional promotion, no lead single and no videos were set to hype the release of the rapper’s sixth studio album, Yeezus. The ego-maniacal rapper stayed fairly low key, as critics began drawing their own conclusions about what the new effort would deliver. But just like a miracle from the Baby “Yeezus” himself, the entire record finds its way online just days before the record’s release. That’s not it, though. Today, West is the most talked about man on the ‘net, as his daughter with celebrity socialite Kim Kardashian was born five weeks early… on the eve…

What The GIF? Vol. 5
Memorial Day is upon us, which means the pools are ready for splashing (and peeing), white pants are back in season (is that still a thing?) and people are gearing up for a 3-day weekend (does anyone know why we actually celebrate this holiday?)! To kick start yours, V for Vetrano is bringing you another installment of What The GIF?, a countdown of the Top 10 things that run through my head on repeat all day long and keeping me up at night. The past few weeks have delivered some hilarious moments, which made narrowing it down to the top ten quite a challenge. But sorting through thousands of well-crafted…

Best of 2011: Top 10 Albums
If 2011 could be remembered for one thing, it would be that in 2011 the music industry was saved… by Adele. Selling 5.82 million copies of her sophomore album 21 – numbers that labels haven’t seen in years – she definitely stands out as one of the industry’s heroes. And even though not all albums saw the same success, there were still some seriously good records that dropped this year. Here’s a list of my favorite. 10. Chancellor Warhol: The Silver Factory. Each track from the 14-track, sophomore LP feels like it was hand-picked and perfectly crafted for this compilation. The clever rhymes match with the album’s equally clever title,…

Best Of 2011: Top 10 Songs
2011 was quite a year for music – some of the biggest albums of our time hit the shelves, legends were made, and newcomers burst onto the scene with feverous vengeance. Listed below are the top ten tracks Tragic Kingdom played on repeat all year long. 10. Foster the People: Pumped Up Kicks. These electronic rockers had a big year and whether you liked it or not, you had to bob your head to the controversial single that seemed to play every 5 minutes on radio all over the country. It’ll be interesting to see where these guys take their next project, but for now let’s retire this catchy number…

Artist To Watch: Chancellor Warhol
When I moved to Nashville last year, there was a stigma: country music was king. But when Chancellor Warhol proclaims “the King is in the building” on the new single, “Elvis”, from his sophomore LP The Silver Factory, I believed him. In Nashville, the hip-hop scene is one of two things. Chancellor Warhol is neither of them. His indie flare keeps him relevant with the city’s tastemakers and trendsetters, while his clever rhymes and strong lyrics give him enough street-cred to go up against hip-hop’s finest. His first solo record, Japanese Lunchbox, was released last year and set the bar for his unique electro-rap style that urges listeners to the dance floor.…

An Open Letter To Rachel Zoe
Dear Rachel Zoe: I am not a stylist, nor do I classify myself a Fashionista, but something has recently come to my attention that must be addressed. One of the most brilliant vocalists of our time, in my opinion, has been stepping out in some hideous attire. Kelly Clarkson, who is very open about her struggle with weight, has been seen in some unflattering, and completely hideous, outfit choices as of late. I applaud Kelly for not conforming to what Hollywood paints as a stick thin character, but could she make some flattering outfit choices to better hide her hefty weight gain? Unfortunately Kelly has made some huge fashion mistakes…

Kelly & Other Celebs Unleash
Kelly Clarkson took to her blog to react to Kanye’s behavior at last night’s VMA’s and the girl is pissed! Other celebs reacted via Twitter and the world is a buzz about Kanye West’s douchery. On her blog, Kelly Clarkson wrote: Dear Kanye, What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like shit. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing…

Re-Crap!
The night, that I USED to wait all year for disappointed…again! Maybe it’s because the cable station that claims to be Music Television hasn’t shown a music video in over 5 years, but it was one of the most disappointing nights in music! The show kicked off with a tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, which definitely delivered some amaze-balls dancing and Janet rocked it, but it didn’t really live up to its hype. Madonna gave a very “unique” intro speech about the very little she knew about him and then reminded us he was a human being. Then, the first award of the night, Best Female Video,…

How Could You Be So Heartless
Lady Gaga gave fans a little taste of what they might see on her upcoming tour with Kanye West last night, when she covered his hit, “Heartless”. Check out the pop diva’s version below and keep checking in for the tour dates, which should be announced soon.
