First Listen: Lana Del Rey "Young & Beautiful"
The Great Gatsby soundtrack, which is available for pre-order now, has musical genius written all over it with original tunes from artists like will.i.am, Florence & the Machine, a new solo track from Fergie and a Beyoncé cover of Amy Winehouse‘s “Back to Black”. The lead single from the highly anticipated film’s soundtrack is a deliciously haunting track delivered by the Lana Del Rey., who may just have been born for this performance. The songstress, who refers to her style as “Hollywood Sadcore,” may be the most obvious yet brilliant choice for the Baz Luhrmann film. Listen to “Young & Beautiful” now below and pre-order the soundtrack now on iTunes to get the…

First Listen: Beyonce "Bow Down/ I Been On"
2013 is certainly shaping up to be a big one in music with new records coming from some of the biggest pop stars on the planet. Beyoncé, one of said stars, has been busy since her hot-as-fire Super Bowl performance and (boring) HBO documentary. Girl (Who Run the World) has been preparing for her new record and huge world tour. Today, the first single from the upcoming album, set to accompany the Mrs. Carter world tour, dropped. Fans seem to be on the fence about the track, as they took to Twitter to share their opinions. Listen to “Bow Down / I Been On” below now and share your thoughts. Is…

First Listen: Justin Timberlake "The 20/20 Experience" Bonus Tracks
Only March, but it’s already expected to be one of the biggest selling albums of the year. Justin Timberlake‘s The 20/20 Experience is worthy of its “perfect” title. If you missed my thoughts on the record, or haven’t yet streamed it in full, check it out here. When the record drops on March 19th, Target will exclusively release the deluxe version with 2 additional songs. But in true V for Vetrano style, I say why wait? Listen to “Dress On” and “Body Count” now below. Like what you hear? Pick up the deluxe edition of The 20/20 Experience exclusively at Target on March 19th or download the standard edition of…

First Listen: Justin / Justin
It’s a post-Grammy’s Justin-palooza today on Tragic Kingdom, with new music from two of music’s biggest stars sharing the same name. Last night the original Justin (Justin Timberlake) returned to the Grammy’s stage with a performance (over-hyped in my opinion) of his new single “Suit & Tie” and closed with a preview of his new track “Pusher Love Girl.” Today, his highly anticipated third record The 20/20 Experience is available for pre-order on iTunes. The pre-paid download comes with an instant new track from the record, 8-minutes long, called “Mirrors.” Give it a listen and share your thoughts in the comment box below. The Justin of another name – the one…

First Listen: Jewel & Kelly Clarkson "Foolish Games"
To accompany singer Jewel‘s upcoming Greatest Hits compilation, she enlisted the power house none other than Kelly Clarkson to record a revamped version of her ’97 hit single “Foolish Games.” Alright, raise your hand if you loved the single the first time around (in case you can’t see, I have both hands raised; one for each version then). Now, seven years later, with the addition of the America’s first Idol the song is better than I could have ever imagined. Listen to Jewel & Kelly Clarkson slay “Foolish Games” below now, but beware you might need a change of pants. I’m just saying … I did.

"Scream & Shout" Gets Hip-Hop Makeover
It’s already one of the hottest songs of the year, but now will.i.am & Britney Spears‘ single “Scream & Shout” has gotten a hip-hop facelift. The new swaggy version includes cameos by Diddy, Lil’ Wayne, Hit-Boy and Waka Flocka Flame. What’s even better? Britney tweeted from the set of the new updated video today! Looking forward to seeing what this powerhouse group come up with next. If you haven’t heard the original version of the song, first of all please crawl out from the hole you’ve been living in, and then listen to it here. Then once you’ve worked up a sweat dancing around to that version, push play below to…

First Listen: Justin Bieber "Believe" Acoustic Album
Alright let’s get real, Justin Bieber is a beast. I don’t want to like him (or at least admit that I do), but I can’t help it. After checking out his show in Nashville last week – which was sold out and filled with pre-pubescent screaming girls – his talent is undeniable. His show is filled with pyrotechnics and well choreographed dancing, but in some of the softer moments – or when he takes the drums into his own hands – his talent is clear. A talent that can play just about any instrument, Bieber is rereleasing his latest record Believe, but this time completely stripped down. A move that…

First Listen: Justin Timberlake "Suit & Tie"
Earlier this week, Justin Timberlake teased the world with a viral video that kicked off rumors of a new record and single. The news was confirmed moments ago when the first single from Timberlake’s new record featuring Jay Z debuted online. Timberlake confirmed that he’d been busy working since the summer on the new record, titled The 20/20 Experience, in an open letter to his fans. Read the entire letter below: An Open Letter to you (the fans): I hope this gets to you the right way. It’s the only way I know to do it. Some people may criticize me for the last 3 days. But it was fun, right??…

First Listen: The CO’s ‘Keep It Together’
It’s been almost two years since pop trio The CO dropped their self-titled debut album and first appeared on Tragic Kingdom. Since then, the band – made up of Colin Brace, Troy Akers and Nate Fleming – have created a huge internet following with their variety of YouTube videos and social interaction with their fans, lovingly named their “COhorts.” On January 8th, the boys release their long-awaited sophomore record Keep It Together. Eleven polished tracks including the uptempo standout “Frequency”, the longtime crowd favorite “Ok Ok” and the updated title track, which first appeared on their debut and was later recorded with YouTube’s Tyler Ward. The second effort delivers a more mature sound while maintaining their…
