V is for Video
Is today some kind of holiday that we should be observing? I’m single – not bitterly so – and I don’t tend to get all hyped about this traditionally lame holiday known to most as Valentine’s Day. I typically just refer to it simply as VD (insert sexually transmitted joke here). To a music connoisseur like myself, there’s one kind of valentine that makes me weak in the knees: a hot new video fresh from the editing bay. So you can imagine my excitement to find an inbox full of these types of valentines today. I figured, while in the “holiday” spirit, it’s only appropriate to pass these valentines on…

Over the next few months, I will be rolling out a ton of new content allowing you more personal introductions and access to the hottest emerging acts in music. This first artist is no exception. Earlier this week in a local Music City coffee shop, I got the chance to sit down with Liz Davis, the feisty country crooner who showcased her powerful pipes on this season’s hit NBC series The Voice. Read part one of my interview with…

Paying The Bills and Respect
Immediately after news broke that Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, had passed away work began on this tribute song, “Better On the Other Side”. The song, featuring The Game, Chris Brown, Diddy, Polow Da Don, Usher, Mario Winans, and Boys II Men, will be the first of many tributes to the late music icon. The song leaked to Internet by Friday morning after the news broke – it came together awfully fast. Check out the song’s video, edited by Taydoe.
