Taylor Swift Breaks Free on ‘Reputation’
TAYLOR SWIFT SWINGS THE DOOR OPEN ON ‘REPUTATION,’ REVEALING HERSELF TO FANS FOR THE FIRST TIME. It was five years ago when I met Taylor Swift for the first time. I was at an awards show afterparty in Nashville, unknowing that the most famous singer in music was just behind a set of closed doors. While grabbing a mixed drink cocktail from the bar, I ran into a friend. One who had been spending the evening with Taylor and her friends, and who later led me “behind the curtain,” through a sea of people to the entry of a room that held the secrets of an early Taylor Swift reputation.…

Man Crush Monday: My Love Story
V for Vetrano here with some not-so-breaking news. In one of my recent posts, I dropped a bomb about wedding planning which made some of you go “woah… wait!…what?!” Sorry about that. I realize my personal life has been pretty obsolete from the blog until now. But after years of blogging about music and entertainment, I’m finally ready to share my love story and a peek into my life outside of the Housewives, Taylors and Britneys. Starting with Joe, my forever Man Crush Monday. My Love Story For most of my early adult life, I was single. I didn’t really mind because I was focused on building a business and…

5 Reasons I Am Over Summer
It’s no secret if you know me, I don’t care much for summer. I know it’s a controversial statement and I’m likely in the minority, but I’m not a fan of sweating through every layer of clothing I own. Which probably explains my struggle with fitness. And more than that, I’ve somehow managed to be the only person in my large Italian family that can’t catch a tan. At least without burning to a crisp first. There’s nothing more I love to do on a hot summer day than sit inside and cuddle up to a movie on the couch. In fact, why even get out of bed at all?…

The Beauty In Totality
I admit it. I was wrong… in totality. When I posted yesterday about the solar eclipse, I said something ignorant and uninformed. To quote myself, “I personally don’t see the appeal [of the solar eclipse], but I am not a science nerd and never have been. Maybe I will feel differently today at approximately 1:27pm, but I’m always game for a good reason to party.” After seeing the solar eclipse in totality yesterday with a group of friends and loved ones, I can confidently say I’m changed. It was not just a “reason to party.” Although, there was plenty of that and it was a perfect reason to. The solar eclipse…

Solar Eclipse of the Heart
For weeks, you couldn’t turn on the news or go out in public without hearing about the solar eclipse. The whole city of Nashville has gone eclipse crazy. Eyewear (fake and protective) is selling out across the nation and people are flocking to Music City to see this once in a lifetime experience. I personally don’t see the appeal, but I am not a science nerd and never have been. Maybe I will feel differently today at approximately 1:27pm, but I’m always game for a good reason to party. And lucky for me, the solar eclipse has give Nashville a reason. If you’re in Music City for the big event…

Takes 2 Fitness: The Power Of 2
TAKES 2 FITNESS IS NASHVILLE’S PREMIERE PERSONAL TRAINING GYM, SETTING THE BAR HIGH FOR FITNESS IN MUSIC CITY I did it! I successfully kicked-off my first week towards fitness with the help of Takes 2 Fitness in Nashville. When I decided it was time to get in shape, I knew it wouldn’t be an easy feat and I would need the support from my friends, family and access to a well-established, highly-rated Nashville gym. Lucky for me, Takes 2 Fitness has three convenient locations in the Nashville area, one being a few blocks from my office. Score! This week, I visited their Downtown location three different times. Each time, the gym…

Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria Dishes It Up
SLIM & HUSKY PIZZA BEERIA SERVES UP MADE-TO-ORDER PIZZA FROM IT’S FIRST NASHVILLE LOCATION IN NASHVILLE’S NEW BUCHANAN ARTS DISTRICT As a former resident of Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood, I like to follow the establishments popping up in that area. Especially when I can get my eat on. Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria has been on my radar for a while, but when it finally opened its doors in March I was skeptical that it was worth the long lines I’d heard were piling up down Buchanan Street. I was wrong. When I stopped by one day after work to experience the “life changing” slice of awesome, I arrived to a…

Summer Style Essentials
SUMMER HEATS UP WITH MEN’S SUMMER STYLE THAT TAKES SHABBY TO CHIC AND MAKES MEN & LADIES SWOON. Every guy has been there. You start flipping through an old issue of GQ magazine that’s been sitting on your desk for months and, “Eureka!,” you have a fashion revelation. Immediately, you run to your closet and start layering your looks to create the perfect ensemble to bring you from drab to fab. Day-after-day, you get more daring with your looks and then something terrible happens. Summer starts. Each summer, I weep my most fashionable tears, as I move my lightweight jackets and high-top sneakers to the back of the closet. There they sit…

My Big Fat American… Body
Hey, it’s me again. No, not the informative and often hilarious (no commentary please) blogger from Listen! It’s Vetrano. It’s the voice from 2015 that reminded myself –and urged my readers– to ditch the ‘Fat Jeans‘ and get back into shape. Remember that voice? I hear it often and loud enough, so I assume you hear it on your end, too. From that 2015 holiday binge to now (2017), I’ve managed –with the help of carb overloading, gallons of rosé and countless hours of sitting on my ass, watching Housewives bicker– to reach an all time high in weight. A whopping 229 lbs fat, which is about 50 lbs from…
