Video Premiere: Miley Cyrus "We Can’t Stop"
Miley Cyrus debuted her new video for the single “We Can’t Stop,” in which Cyrus sheds any glimmer of her early alter-ego Hannah Montana. In the video – which plays out much like the film Spring Breakers – Miley and her posse slither around a party doing abnormal, almost circus-like things, including a scene where the singer makes out with a doll in the pool. Wait, you’re still reading?!? After hearing about the doll scene? Yeah, not much else to say after that, so just watch Cyrus and friends “twerk” around in the video premiere of “We Can’t Stop” now and pick up the single on iTunes.

But the new tunes aren’t the only things buzzing in the air. This morning, Country’s reigning Queen, Carrie Underwood, announced that her new single, a rockin’ foot-stomper titled “Good Girl”, will be released to radio on February 23rd. See the single’s artwork here and watch…

Neon Trees Surrenders For Promotional Purposes
It looks like Neon Trees, who Tragic Kingdom named the Best of 2010, is going to have another big year. Their newest single, “Your Surrender”, is burning up radio stations all across the country including Radio Disney thanks in large part to the song’s partnership with Disney’s Prom movie which hits theaters at the end of the month. Don’t get me wrong, Neon Trees and Disney doesn’t quite scream “match made in heaven”, but I am far from calling Tyler Glenn & Co. sellouts. Think about the promotion that the folks at Disney put into anything attached to their name. No doubt this video will play in between a number…

Idol Recap: Top 20
Idol kicked off this week with the news of Crystal Bowersox entering the hospital for what is rumored to be a severe case of diabetes. The singer’s illness left the producers unsure whether she’d be well enough to sing on last Tuesday’s show, so they pulled a last minute switcheroo instructing the boys kick off the week. And the boys seemed okay with the mix-up on Tuesday night’s American Idol showdown, which brought out a smidge more talent than we saw in the first go around. Unfortunately, compared to the show’s previous seasons it is clear this crop of guys isn’t going to leave viewers overly impressed. The most improved…

Friday I’ll Be Over U Premiere
Check out the new video from Idol contestant, Allison Iraheta. The single “Friday I’ll Be Over U” is the lead single from her debut album, “Just Like You” out December 8th. The video is a little too Miley in “7 Things”, but I guess she can be the P!nk for the tween market.

Twitter "Rap" Up
So, Miley Cyrus, deleted her Twitter account and the gossip sites were all a buzz. Stories broke that Miley was dating a new guy that didn’t like her obsession with the social networking site, while some sites even reported that an “enraged” Billy Ray, Miley’s dad, was pleading for her to come back to the site. Looks like Miley is getting closer and closer to that inevitable breakdown, similar to the one Britney suffered over the past few years. Check out this video/rap that Miley lip-sychs her way thru to explain to fans why she left her tweeting days behind. It’s so ridiculous, I couldn’t resist sharing it with y’all.

Miss Divas?
On Thursday, VH1 revived its “Divas” series with Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Adele, Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks, Leona Lewis, and hosted by Paula Abdul. Now, my first thought was they needed to see a definition of diva because the line up was a little mixed. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Jordin Sparks, but a diva?? Not quite. She needs about 10 more power ballads and at least one more headlining tour, when she isn’t opening for Britney Spears. It was quite heavy with Idol alums, especially with Abdul hosting the evening’s events. I would have gladly traded Sparks for the country diva, Carrie Underwood. But, I guess…

Teen Choice, My Choice
The Teen Choice Awards, airing Monday, August 10th, will feature performances by Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, Sean Kingston, and Black Eyed Peas. While those were all predictable and obvious choices for the awards telecast, we can’t wait for the debut performance of “Good Girls Go Bad” by Cobra Starship and Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl‘s Blair), as well as Britney Spears’ confirmed performance. I was a little shocked they didn’t hold out for the VMA’s, but Teen Choice will do. But, it doesn’t mean MTV won’t pimp her performance on the VMA’s out to be the “most exciting return to television”! We know she’ll knock ’em dead at the TCA, but…

Top 7’s Theme Revealed
American Idol will continue next week with its Top 7 and the Idol Insider has the scoop. The theme for next week’s show is Songs from the Movies with Quentin Tarantino mentoring the contestants. The results show will feature season 3 contestant Jennifer Hudson, who will perform her latest single “If This Isn’t Love”, and Miley Cyrus, who will promote the release of her movie Hannah Montana: The Movie and perform a song from the soundtrack, “The Climb”. And don’t expect to see Paula dancing around to Miley’s performance because both of the performances have already been pre-taped.
