Straight OUT, Now Tell Me
While it hasn’t been officially confirmed by 19 Entertainment, it looks like the future for our beloved Paula Abdul is clear. Her management released a statement regarding the rumors that the once Dance-Diva would not be returning to the ninth season of American Idol. In a statement, her manager, David Soneberg, said, “Very sadly, it does not appear that she’s going to be back on Idol.” At this time no contracts have been offered for renegotiation and Fremantle and 19 Entertainment have yet to reach out about a renewal. So, with production starting on August 6th and no signatures on the dotted line, we see this as the end of…

Favorite Moment on Idol Finale
My all time favorite moment on Wednesday night’s Idol finale is posted for all to see below. I do think that Kara went a little overboard in order to prove her point, but “Bikini Girl” had it coming. And can we just say, “Damn, Kara! Rockin’ bod!”. There, we said it! Enjoy! [yahoo id=13582383 vid=5124792 w=512 h=322 thumburl=http://l.yimg.com/a/p/i/bcst/videosearch/9005/85952468.jpeg]

Idol Finale Recap
As the final Idol hopefuls took the stage last night, American knew they were in for a treat when Adam Lambert and Kris Allen faced off in one of the best finales in the history of the show. Kris had won the coin toss and he chose to go last, which is always a safer bet. Round One: Adam Lambert, predictably, sang “Mad World”, which was his best performance on the season. But unfortunately it fell a little short in comparison to the first go at the song, leaving Kris to pick up the pieces with his piano accompanied choice of “Ain’t No Sunshine”. Kris’ smooth vocal and new arrangement…

TONIGHT: Idol Finale
Tonight, watch as underdog, Kris Allen, takes on the Season 8 front runner, Adam Lambert (aka Glambert) in the Idol showdown. Tonight’s episode will pit the two against each other, both performing three songs. The first round will feature the contestants favorite performances of the season. My guess is Kris will go with last week’s “Heartless”, while Lambert will likely choose “Mad World”. The second song choice will be that of ex-Idol producer, Simon Fuller. In the past this song choice was that of Clive Davis’, but I guess they’ve opted out of that this year. Then, finally, the contestants will sing the winner’s single, “This Is How I Want…

Top 5: Songs From The Rat Pack
The top 5 knew they would have to set the “standard” when the learned that the shows theme would be Songs From The Rat Pack. I wasn’t thrilled with the theme choice, initially, but after the show I was left wanting more. Each and every one of the contestants brought their A-game to that stage and I didn’t know what to expect. Kris Allen, who is the second best selling Idol contestant on iTunes, set the tone with “The Way You Look Tonight”. This performance really pushed him to new heights and proved he is, as Kara pointed out, the dark horse, who actually has a shot. Especially if he…

Top 6, err, uhhh…7
As disco week kicked off, we could already see some of the urgency to get through the show without running over…again. There was no cheesy opening monologues from Ryan, no long, drawn out judge intros, and, most noticeable, no mentors or short contestant intros. Instead, Lil Rounds went right into her performance of “I’m Every Woman”, but she failed to impress the judges and Simon predicted she’d sung her last song on the Idol stage. For me, it wasn’t the performance that left me confused, it was the lingering question of why she reminded me of a “camel” that night, in her skin tight jumpsuit. Could it have been the…

Top 10: Motown
Motown week started with a “bang”, literally, as the hopefuls stepped on the stage with their new styles, haircuts, and looks, brought to you by the Idol stylists. The most notable change was in the horrible wig choice by Lil Rounds. Was I was on the edge of my seat hoping that the thing would slip right off her head in the middle of her “Heatwave”? But really, the night brought some real, as Kara would put it, artistry. The front runners for the evening were Matt Giraud, with his JT-style take on “Let’s Get It On”, Kris Allen, who took his performance to new heights with “How Sweet It…

Touched By An Angle
Kelly Clarkson, riding the success of her smash hit, “My Life Would Suck Without You”, is gearing up for the release of her 2nd single from her newest number 1 album, All I Ever Wanted. The album is sitting pretty at the #1 spot again this week on Billboards Hot 200. Earlier today, Camp Kelly revealed the artwork for her new single, “I Do Not Hook Up”, written by Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi, and pop star, Katy Perry. The single artwork, which has obviously been touched by a very expensive airbrush, stays within her glossy and colorful theme that she has delivered with All I Ever Wanted. What are your…

Idol Insider’s "Exclusive" Kelly Clarkson Post
Happy Friday! As you all get ready to close down your computers and sign off your Facebook accounts for the weekend, I thought I would leave you with what ET dubs a hard, hitting and exclusive sit down interview with Kelly Clarkson. One note to Entertainment Tonight’s producers, it’s not a “revealing” interview if Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi, is conducting the interview. That’s just silly. Oh and by the way, none of the questions are new, so that leaves me wondering: What constitutes this interview as “Exclusive”. Apparently you can just throw around that word, so we will too. While not exactly exclusive, it sure is hilarious when Kara, who…
