Video Premiere: Hunter Hayes "I Want Crazy"
Country’s breakout star Hunter Hayes is preparing for the release of Encore, a double deluxe version of his debut record. The lead single from the upcoming release is the self-penned track “I Want Crazy,” which has been flying up the country charts since it’s debut. The freshly premiered video for the track features Hayes first hand at “acting,” as the videos storyline allows the singer the chance to show off some of his other talents. Does he have the acting chops? Judge for yourself. Watch “I Want Crazy” below and pick up the single on iTunes now. You can catch Hayes on tour through the Spring on Carrie Underwood‘s ‘Blown Away…

Video Premiere: Five Knives, "Messin’ With My Mind"
Nashville’s latest success story, Five Knives, debuted their hot new video “Messin’ With My Mind” on MTVu this morning. The clip also landed on MTV’s Buzzworthy following its premiere. No surprise though, seeing that the band is on the road on the MTV Artist to Watch Tour with Twenty One Pilots. The single is the second from the electro-punk rockers EP The Rising and is my favorite tune to rock out to when I’m feeling aggressive. But you’ll have to download the track on the band’s website (or right here on Tragic Kingdom) because MTV’s version of the single comes overly-censored. So censored infact, a reference to popping pills gets…

Video Premiere: Hot Chelle Rae "Hung Up"
The Nashville-formed pop band Hot Chelle Rae is gearing up for the release of their third studio record, which is expected to drop later this year. The lead single “Hung Up” hit radio back in February and has been working it’s way into the ears of their fans ever since. The boys have traveled all over the globe, opening for acts like Taylor Swift, Cher Lloyd and Lil’ Jon and seem poised for global domination. If the new single is any indication, the boys new record will follow the lead of their hits “I Like It Like That” and their smash hit “Tonight, Tonight” with catchy, sing-a-long choruses. The video…

Lana Del Rey Covers Leonard Cohen
It’s no secret that my heart beats to Lana Del Rey‘s drum (as illustrated by the variety of ways I tried to slip her name into a post over the last year). Today, she delivers a new video covering the Leonard Cohen classic “Chelsea Hotel No. 2” and proves that when it comes to singing, she can do anything. There’s nothing really more for me to say, other than thank you for this Lana! V for Vetrano needed this today. Watch the simple, yet beautiful video below.

Video Premiere: All Time Low "Somewhere In Neverland"
American punk rockers All Time Low dropped their new video for the single “Somewhere in Neverland” today on MTV. Although the channel no longer plays music videos on the reg, this clip is reminiscent of the TRL days (for those too young to know what that is, it’s a good thing). The single is from their album Don’t Panic, which is available now. The band, currently back from a worldwide tour, are taking a short break before they head back on the road with Pierce the Veil for a run of U.S. dates. Watch “Somewhere in Neverland” below now and download Don’t Panic on iTunes now!

Tragic Kingdom Presents: Andy Davis "Dashes"
One of the coolest parts about the music industry is when two artists come together to create an epic collaboration. Sometimes they result in the form of a great radio single-paring like when R&B’s Rihanna enlisted Nashville indie-rocker Mikky Ekko for her chart-topping single “Stay,” or when two of music’s juggernauts collide to make the world ‘move like Jagger’, like Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera did last summer. Other times the best collaborations are the ones that aren’t as widely talked about, the collaboration of two artists coming together to write a great song. In this case, two of the coolest emerging talents coming together on Tyler Ward‘s first EP of original tunes. If you’re not yet…

Video Premiere: Five Knives "All Fall Down"
It’s no secret that I’m kinda (ok, totally) crushing on the electro-rockers Five Knives. But really, can you blame me? If you haven’t discovered the wonders of Five Knives yet, check out why I named them the artist to watch for 2013 and grab their EP free for a limited time. The EP’s first single dropped last week with the release of the compilation and today the band premiered their ultra-hip video for the track on purevolume.com. In the video, Anna Worstell and her boys do their thing in an abandoned warehouse while the coolest fucking roller derby goes on around them. I have plans to check out the Nashville Rollergirls this weekend and I…

Video Premiere: Rihanna & Mikky Ekko "Stay"
When Rihanna dropped her sixth studio record Unapologetic, Nashville rejoiced to see its own indie-rocker Mikky Ekko featured on the record’s standout ballad “Stay.” The excitement continued when the R&B songstress invited the rocker to join her on stage at Sunday’s Grammy Awards’s to perform the new single, which Ekko penned. The performance kickstarted quite a buzz about the new Rihanna track and the mysterious new talent that joined her. Now, accompanied with a steamy new video, “Stay” is on track to be one of the biggest songs of the year and Ekko music’s next “it” kid. Watch the video “Stay” below and pick up Mikky Ekko’s newly released tracks EP…

Five Knives To Release "First" EP
It’s coming! The Rising is the first EP from electro-punk rockers Five Knives, the band that I named the top ‘Artist to Watch’ for 2013. The re-mixed (for those of you who have their early stuff), re-packaged EP will be released digitally February 4, 2013 on Red Bull Records. In the coming months, as the new “it” band journey towards the release of their first full length this summer, I will continue to follow and introduce you to Five Knives. In the meantime, you can hear -and follow along with – their first single “All Fall Down” by watching the lyric video below. Google Plus: +Five Knives

Video Premiere: Carrie Underwood "Two Black Cadillacs"
Last night, Carrie Underwood debuted her dark new video for the track “Two Black Cadillacs.” The single -the third from the singer’s Blown Away album- recalls the result of two scorned women seeking revenge against a cheating lover. In the clip, Underwood is… ready for this?… the OTHER woman! That’s right, little miss goody-two-shoes took on the more controversial role, while strutting around fashionable as ever. Does this women ever look bad?? Watch the premiere of “Two Black Cadillacs” now and by the way, if you can explain the bizarre ending, please comment below and explain it to me. I’m confused. Did Jesus, in fact, take the wheel? Google Plus: +Carrie Underwood

New David Bowie Album Coming in March
For the first time in over a decade, rock legend David Bowie announced the release of a new record. The Next Day will arrive in March, but the singer debuted the album’s first single “Where Are We Now?” yesterday on his birthday. In the record’s official announcement, Bowie says: In recent years radio silence has been broken only by endless speculation, rumor and wishful thinking ….a new record…who would have ever thought it, who’d have ever dreamed it! After all David is the kind of artist who writes and performs what he wants when he wants…when he has something to say as opposed to something to sell. Today he definitely has…
