Tragic Kingdom Presents: Andy Davis "Dashes"

One of the coolest parts about the music industry is when two artists come together to create an epic collaboration. Sometimes they result in the form of a great radio single-paring like when R&B’s Rihanna enlisted Nashville indie-rocker Mikky Ekko for her chart-topping single “Stay,” or when two of music’s juggernauts collide to make the world ‘move like Jagger’, like Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera did last summer. Other times the best collaborations are the ones that aren’t as widely talked about, the collaboration of two artists coming together to write a great song.

In this case, two of the coolest emerging talents coming together on Tyler Ward‘s first EP of original tunes. If you’re not yet familiar with the YouTube sensation who is quickly making a name for himself with his original work, check out my interview with him here. Andy Davis, a seasoned performer and songwriter from Nashville, worked with Ward for the project and the pairing resulted in one cool-as-hell track called “Dashes.” That’s the brilliance of Nashville and the artist community. Artists helping artists, working together to create something unique and fresh.

Listen to Tyler’s version of the single now here, but only on Tragic Kingdom can you check out Davis performing the co-penned track (live from Tragic Kingdom’s rooftop deck). There’s more from the Nashville singer coming in the next few months, so be sure to hit that “Like” button on the left hand side of the page to stay up-to-date with yours truly (V for Vetrano)!
