Britney Wants Out!
It has been reported numerous times that our pop starlet is not happy with the progress she is making in her life, which concerns us, seeing as it seems so positive. There have also been reports that the viruses in her life, Adnan Ghalib and Sam Lufti, are trying to help her lift the conservatorship so she may make her own decisions again. In the most recent voicemail (there are a series of them floating around the net) that has been leaked, Britney questions the threats that her own father has made to take her children from her. What is going on over at Camp Britney? We can understand if…

Since her days ditzing it up on Idol, Kellie Pickler has been a busy girl. With two red-hot country albums under her belt and constant recognition for the Academy of Country Music, this southern sweetie has truly made her mark on the music industry. Following up her mega-successful, “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful”, she has just released her second single from her sophomore, self-titled, album. The new single, “Best Days of Your Life”, features her good friend and multi-platinum selling artist, Taylor Swift. Idol’s Top 9 Theme Revealed
On Friday morning, Ryan Seacrest revealed to the listeners of his radio show, On-Air with Ryan Seacrest, that this week’s Idol theme would be “Top Downloads”. We can only assume this means the 9 hopefuls will be performing the most downloaded songs from Idol‘s sponsor, iTunes. No word on if there are any restrictions or rules to this theme, but should make for a very interesting, and current, episode of Idol.

Wanna Put My Tender, Heart In A Blender
Alpha Media Group, who published “the ultimate guide to music and more”, Blender, announced yesterday that the April issue, on stands now, would be its last. In 1994 the creators of the magazine released its first issue as a digital CD-ROM. Since 2001, when its first magazine style issue hit the streets, Blender has brought music fans (mostly 18-34) joy with its editorial content, including reviews of various artists’ entire discography. CEO, Stephen Duggan, of Alpha Media Group, who also publishes Maxim, wrote a company memo to staffers yesterday morning to announce the news. In the memo he said, “Since 2001, Blender has provided unmatched music coverage and entertainment news…

Touched By An Angle
Kelly Clarkson, riding the success of her smash hit, “My Life Would Suck Without You”, is gearing up for the release of her 2nd single from her newest number 1 album, All I Ever Wanted. The album is sitting pretty at the #1 spot again this week on Billboards Hot 200. Earlier today, Camp Kelly revealed the artwork for her new single, “I Do Not Hook Up”, written by Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi, and pop star, Katy Perry. The single artwork, which has obviously been touched by a very expensive airbrush, stays within her glossy and colorful theme that she has delivered with All I Ever Wanted. What are your…

We Wish You a Merry…Huh?
As Britney continues to trek across the U.S. on her Circus Starring Britney Spears tour, the world continues to watch to see if the pop princess has truly made a triumphant return, or if she’ll slip up and give Page Six and Perez Hilton something to write about. Unfortunately for Ms. Spears, she was caught displaying some odd behavior at a recent show. When Brit-Brit stopped at the Verizon Center on March 24th, she wished the fans a very odd sentiment (odd because it happened a week before April Fools). Was she punking us? Did she forget to take her meds? Maybe she was just proving her microphone was actually…

Top 11: Grand Ole Opry
I know I wasn’t overly thrilled with the announcement of Grand Ole Opry night – and with good reason – but, I have to say that not everyone was as horrible as I would have predicted. Maybe it was just because I was watching live with my favorite Idol crew and their new addition, in Arizona, but I was actually satisified with the show’s outcome. The Idol favorites, you know who they are, weren’t the ones leaving the judges and America saying, “Yee Haw” this week. Instead it was the underdogs who came out victorious. Kris Allen, Anoop Desai, and Matt Giraud were easily my top picks this week, leading…

Dolls Continue Domination Plans
The multi-platinum selling girl group, Pussycat Dolls, are re-releasing their mildly successful sophomore album, Doll Domination, on April 14th. Doll Domination 2.0 will include the Dolls’ hits, “When I Grow Up”, “Whatcha Think About That (Feat. Missy Elliott), and “I Hate This Part”. New tracks will include the theme to MTV’s The City, “Top of the World”, the English remix of the Oscar winning hit song, “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)”, as well as the tour version of “Hush, Hush” and two brand new tracks. One, titled “Painted Windows”, was confirmed by lead-singer, Nicole Scherzinger, last week. The Dolls are currently purring across America and Canada on “The Circus…

I Told You So
Idol-related Update: It looks like America has spoken, again – Kelly Clarkson’s new album, All I Ever Wanted, took the top spot on the Billboard 200 charts moving over 255,000 copies its first week out. Congrats to Kelly on her 2nd number one debut – the first was her debut release, Thankful, in 2003. Her follow ups, Breakaway and My December took the 2nd and 3rd spots their opening weeks. If you haven’t yet purchased Clarkson’s newest gem, you’re falling behind the rest. It’s a little early to predict, but Billboard is already predicting a second week in the top spot for All I Ever Wanted. For more on that…
