Dolls Continue Domination Plans
The multi-platinum selling girl group, Pussycat Dolls, are re-releasing their mildly successful sophomore album, Doll Domination, on April 14th. Doll Domination 2.0 will include the Dolls’ hits, “When I Grow Up”, “Whatcha Think About That (Feat. Missy Elliott), and “I Hate This Part”. New tracks will include the theme to MTV’s The City, “Top of the World”, the English remix of the Oscar winning hit song, “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)”, as well as the tour version of “Hush, Hush” and two brand new tracks. One, titled “Painted Windows”, was confirmed by lead-singer, Nicole Scherzinger, last week. The Dolls are currently purring across America and Canada on “The Circus…

I Told You So
Idol-related Update: It looks like America has spoken, again – Kelly Clarkson’s new album, All I Ever Wanted, took the top spot on the Billboard 200 charts moving over 255,000 copies its first week out. Congrats to Kelly on her 2nd number one debut – the first was her debut release, Thankful, in 2003. Her follow ups, Breakaway and My December took the 2nd and 3rd spots their opening weeks. If you haven’t yet purchased Clarkson’s newest gem, you’re falling behind the rest. It’s a little early to predict, but Billboard is already predicting a second week in the top spot for All I Ever Wanted. For more on that…

Oops! She did it again!
Okay, so I know that this video is a bit out of date, but it’s too funny to not share with all of you.On February 16, 2009, America’s fourth Idol was spotted at an Ottawa Senators game (vs. Nashville Predators). It is said that she was there cheering on her rumored beau, Mike Fisher, but apparently she was trying to keep that information under wraps. The fan-cam caught ya Carrie – just accept it. However, earlier in the season Carrie was spotted by the “kissing cam” on the jumbo-tron sitting with some girlfriends in Fisher’s VIP box. During that encounter, Underwood, embarrassed and flushed, hugged her girlfriend next to her.…

Top 13: Michael Jackson
Alright, so to kick start the Top 13 of the competition, the Idols were required to choose songs from our very own King of Pop, Michael Jackson. And if Michael Jackson were still able to conceptualize what was actually taking place on that stage, or on any stage for that matter, he might have pulled his collection of hits from the song pool. Randy started the show, as he always does, by saying, “this is the way to start Season 8”. Unfortunately, if this was the start of the season, we’d be in for a very long, very uncomfortable season. The highlights from last week’s show were less about the…

Idol Insider’s "Exclusive" Kelly Clarkson Post
Happy Friday! As you all get ready to close down your computers and sign off your Facebook accounts for the weekend, I thought I would leave you with what ET dubs a hard, hitting and exclusive sit down interview with Kelly Clarkson. One note to Entertainment Tonight’s producers, it’s not a “revealing” interview if Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi, is conducting the interview. That’s just silly. Oh and by the way, none of the questions are new, so that leaves me wondering: What constitutes this interview as “Exclusive”. Apparently you can just throw around that word, so we will too. While not exactly exclusive, it sure is hilarious when Kara, who…

Top 13 Show Announcement
Did everyone watch last night as the Idol hopefuls debuted their act on the big stage? I’ll save my comments for tomorrow’s post, but I had to address some major concerns that you Idol lovers out there were having. Everyone is up in arms about Ryan’s big announcement that the judges would change the rules tonight. And I am here to put your minds at ease. No, they aren’t picking who goes and stays, as some people might be reporting. Before the season started Idol producer, Ken Warwick, stated in an interview that they were going to mix it up a bit this season by adding an element to the…

Kelly Clarkson Delivers All I Ever Wanted
Kelly Clarkson was first discovered in 2002 when she won the hearts of millions and was crowned the first ever American Idol. She didn’t know it at the time, but she had set the bar very high for future Idol hopefuls. Her rich, soulful voice blended with her “cool beans” attitude and diva-like performances, Clarkson hit every note just right. Now, two Grammy’s and over 20 million albums later, she is a force that is truly unstoppable. All I Ever Wanted, her fourth album, is cheerful, upbeat, and a sure-fire hit. Something I am sure that pleases her label RCA and its head-honcho Clive Davis. In 2007, upon the release of…

Idol Insider: Week Three
Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, Michael Sarver, Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, Kris Allen, Scott MacIntyre, Lil Rounds, Jorge Nunez, Megan Joy, Jasmine Murray, and Matt Giraud…oh, and Anoop Desai. There you have it folks, America Idol’s very first Top 13. Tonight is a big night, so I hope you all have recovered from last week’s three-night event. But, last week’s extra time was worth the effort and Idol Insider was there for every brilliant minute. Tuesday night started off with a bang, as over-the-top, Von Smith, tried to win America’s heart with his performance, but his luck turned sour when Cowell (Simon, that is) called him out for being reminiscent of…

Idol Insider: Week 2
Hey-O, Idol Insider here with your weekly dose of goodness! We are half way there – only 6 more spots to round out our Top 12. With Danny, Alexis, and Michael sitting pretty in the first three spots, Group 2 had to raise the stakes. Unfortunately for most of them, they weren’t able to figure it out. I had high hopes for Jasmine, who unfortunately fell short with her over the top rendition of Sara Bareilles’ Love Song, leaving America and the judges wanting less. However, it seemed the judges couldn’t get enough of Jeanine Vailes. It wasn’t her vocals that left the judges’ mouths watering, it was her barely-there…

Idol Insider: Week One
Alright people: The first week is over and tonight starts round two! So get ready to make your picks as we continue to build our Top 12. Last week was an interesting way to start out with over the top song choices and, well, Tatiana…need I say more? At the end of week one, we have three of our twelve in Alexis Grace, Danny Gokey, and Michael Carver. Had I been able to hand pick I would have originally gone with Danny, Alexis, and maybe Anoop. Although, Anoop picked a horrible song that left most of the lyrical content to the background singers, so it was inevitable that he’d get…
