Dolls Continue Domination Plans

The multi-platinum selling girl group, Pussycat Dolls, are re-releasing their mildly successful sophomore album, Doll Domination, on April 14th. Doll Domination 2.0 will include the Dolls’ hits, “When I Grow Up”, “Whatcha Think About That (Feat. Missy Elliott), and “I Hate This Part”. New tracks will include the theme to MTV’s The City, “Top of the World”, the English remix of the Oscar winning hit song, Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)”, as well as the tour version of “Hush, Hush” and two brand new tracks. One, titled “Painted Windows”, was confirmed by lead-singer, Nicole Scherzinger, last week.

The Dolls are currently purring across America and Canada on “The Circus Starring Britney Spears” tour, opening for one of the biggest pop acts of all time. After the tour, the girls are said to continue their World “Doll Domination” Tour, including some dates in the U.S. and are rumored to begin work on their solo projects. As the bonus disc to the first issue of Domination hinted, the girls are ready to make a break on their own. The question remains if any of them, minus Nicole and Melody on occasion, can gain solo success without ever having sang live into a microphone. And judging by Scherzinger’s never-released solo album, Her Name Is Nicole, which was pushed back six times in 2007 and 2008, it looks like these girls still have a little more work to prove themselves before branching out. Besides is anyone actually listening?
