    Results Show Spectacular!

Last night’s Idol results show really showed up in a big way. Although, I think the thing is rigged – Alison definitely should have stayed, while Danny should have gone-key! But, the performances from last night’s show were awesome! I wouldn’t have predicted this, but Paula Abdul performance was the highlight of the show. Her comeback performance screamed that she’s ready to be back on top and she was twirling, flipping, and dancing her butt off to prove just that. Then, No Doubt, performed one of their biggest hits, “Just A Girl”, which seemed a little off, but hey they’ve been out of the scene for a while, so they’re…

    "Crazy" Fan

At a recent Britney show, a fan rushed the singer during her encore performance of “Womanizer”. The singer was spooked by the fan and, judging by this video didn’t have her microphone on during the song. No surprise, but if y’all want to meet your favorite star, remember this: Scaring the $^!+ out of them isn’t the way to do it. Take a look at the video, it happens toward the end, but you can definitely see how scared she was:

    Where Are They Now?

Tonight’s the Top 4 on American Idol and we can hardly wait to see Slash mentor the contestants to bring out their inner Axl Rose, as well as see the first time Idol makes the contestants duet as a part of the competition. We also can’t wait for the results show, which has a few surprises in store. Daughtry and No Doubt will be performing their new singles, as we previously reported, but it has just been learned that Paula Abdul will also be premiering her new single, which will apparently be the lead single from a new album coming out this Fall. And we’re hearing her performance is actually…

    Idol Update

On this week’s rock-themed show, not only will the contestants be performing a solo song, they will also team up with one of the other contestants for a “rocking” duet. This will either be incredibly great or go horribly wrong; either way it will make for some great TV. It will also, likely, have an effect on the voting, seeing as one set (whoever is teamed with Lambert) of contestants might do much better than another set – helping boost the final votes. Also, ex-Idol producer, Nigel Lythgoe, revealed that most of the time the bottom 3 is not revealed to America in the correct order. The producers are given…

    No Doubt, They’re Back

No Doubt is preparing to release a new album, their first in years, later in 2009. To kick off their promotional tour, they stopped by the Today show to perform one of their classics, “Spiderwebs”, which brought back great memories for the Idol Insider. No Doubt is one of my favorite bands of all time and I am gearing up for their summer tour and new album – it’s gonna be a great year for music! The band will appear on an upcoming episode of Gossip Girl, as well as next week’s American Idol. Until then, check out their performance on Today – my favorite part of the performance? When…

    Idol Update

As we know, next week’s theme is Rock Week, which should suit most of the contestants left, and Slash will be the guest mentor. Does he actually talk??? I guess, we’ll see. But the really exciting news we have for you is not about the contestants performances, but, instead, the results show. Not only will No Doubt be performing their new single, “Stand And Deliver”, but past Idol contestant, Chris Daughtry, will also be debuting his band’s new single from their sophomore album. We can’t wait – it promises to be a great show. And the new Idol songs don’t stop there. Jordin Sparks, season 6 winner, will debut her…

Top 5: Songs From The Rat Pack

The top 5 knew they would have to set the “standard” when the learned that the shows theme would be Songs From The Rat Pack. I wasn’t thrilled with the theme choice, initially, but after the show I was left wanting more. Each and every one of the contestants brought their A-game to that stage and I didn’t know what to expect. Kris Allen, who is the second best selling Idol contestant on iTunes, set the tone with “The Way You Look Tonight”. This performance really pushed him to new heights and proved he is, as Kara pointed out, the dark horse, who actually has a shot. Especially if he…

    Catty Dolls

As we reported last week, The Pussycat Dolls’ new single, “Hush Hush”, and their last single, “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)”, have been released listed as The Pussycat Dolls Featuring Nicole Scherzinger. Well, it’s no surprise that this is creating some tension among the rest of the girls, who are currently on tour with Britney Spears. In a recent show, while the girls were introducing themselves, the nicknamed-Babydoll, Melody Thorton, threw in a few jabs that confirmed the feud rumors. Luckily for us, and you, someone caught it all on video. Take a look as Melody loses her temper. Robin Antin, Pussycat Doll creator, has said that the girls…

    We’re Back!!

We went, we saw, we conquered – Vegas will never be the same. And while we’d love to share all the stories and antics that you missed, you know the drill: “What happens in Vegas…” But I can do for you is show you the new, amazing video for Katy Perry’s new single, “Waking Up in Vegas”. The video is hilarious, awesome, and makes us wish we never left.

    Top 6, err, uhhh…7

As disco week kicked off, we could already see some of the urgency to get through the show without running over…again. There was no cheesy opening monologues from Ryan, no long, drawn out judge intros, and, most noticeable, no mentors or short contestant intros. Instead, Lil Rounds went right into her performance of “I’m Every Woman”, but she failed to impress the judges and Simon predicted she’d sung her last song on the Idol stage. For me, it wasn’t the performance that left me confused, it was the lingering question of why she reminded me of a “camel” that night, in her skin tight jumpsuit. Could it have been the…
