In 2005, the world watched as a new country diva was born on the fourth season finale of American Idol. The first country star to come from the now juggernaut series has gone on to become not only the most successful Idol winner, but has become one of today’s biggest selling acts in music. Along side her reality competition title, Underwood has broken a number of industry records, won countless awards, including her reign as Female Vocalist of the Year, and was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry only three years after her Idol win. Her successful run capped off earlier this year when she took home the Academy of…

Hey all! Did you turn your clocks back an hour?! We are just two short days away from the release of Carrie Underwood’s third full length album! Play On is already doing quite well in pre-sales and has created quite a bit of hype with the release of one new track on iTunes each week up to it’s release. Carrie also took to her vlog to chat about the released tracks, “Mama’s Song”, “Temporary Home”, and “Undo It”. I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of the album last week and am excited to share my thoughts with all of you on the eve of the album’s release.…

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! XOXO,IDOL INSIDER

Britney premiered her new video for the number one single, “3”, this morning. While the video lacks any oohs and aahs, Britney looks hot, despite the obvious attempt to recreate a “Single Ladies” vibe! Fellas, it’s worth a watch – enjoy!

The countdown is on until America’s sweetheart, Carrie Underwood, releases her third LP, Play On. To kick off the release, the country cutie has teamed with iTunes to release a new track from the album each week until its November 3rd release. This week, iTunes released the touching track dedicated to her mother, appropriately titled “Mama’s Song”. On October 20th, the single “Temporary Home” will hit the digital download store, followed by “Undo It” on the 27th of the same month, which will bring us a week out to the release of Play On. Don’t forget to pick up the latest single from Carrie, “Cowboy Casanova”, as well as the…

Dear Rachel Zoe: I am not a stylist, nor do I classify myself a Fashionista, but something has recently come to my attention that must be addressed. One of the most brilliant vocalists of our time, in my opinion, has been stepping out in some hideous attire. Kelly Clarkson, who is very open about her struggle with weight, has been seen in some unflattering, and completely hideous, outfit choices as of late. I applaud Kelly for not conforming to what Hollywood paints as a stick thin character, but could she make some flattering outfit choices to better hide her hefty weight gain? Unfortunately Kelly has made some huge fashion mistakes…

Katharine McPhee’s video for her new single, “I Had It All”, hit the net last night. Unfortunately for Kat, the video is missing any storyline and just features a bunch of beauty shots of the past Idol contestant. A fan of the long haired brunette, it took me a while to get used to the blonde bob, but this doesn’t help her cause. I am down with the shots of her in the desert, but the slicked back look has to go! It’s not hot and it ruins the video for us, but the song is still great, so take a look and judge for yourself. Enjoy!
