TONIGHT: Idol Finale
Tonight, watch as underdog, Kris Allen, takes on the Season 8 front runner, Adam Lambert (aka Glambert) in the Idol showdown. Tonight’s episode will pit the two against each other, both performing three songs. The first round will feature the contestants favorite performances of the season. My guess is Kris will go with last week’s “Heartless”, while Lambert will likely choose “Mad World”. The second song choice will be that of ex-Idol producer, Simon Fuller. In the past this song choice was that of Clive Davis’, but I guess they’ve opted out of that this year. Then, finally, the contestants will sing the winner’s single, “This Is How I Want…

When The Paradiso Girls stopped in Denver for a performance at Club Beta, you know I had to be there. It was a beautiful Sunday night and one for the history books as far as partying is concerned. The club wasn’t packed due to some unfortunate promotion, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the night and these lovely ladies. Idol Update
As you may have noticed, I gave up my Idol recaps – mainly due to the fact that the show has become a little bit of a joke this year. Don’t get me wrong, the contestants are better than ever, but the judges banter, Ryan’s staircase, the news that the bottom three are not “accurate”, and the overly hyped pre-taped performances each week. It’s just a little sad that this show has become more generic than ever. And why are the judges all over the magazine covers, rather than the contestants? Forgetting Danny Gokey
During his recent visit to his hometown of Milwaukee, Danny Gokey, chose to sing “Billie Jean”, his song choice for the Michael Jackson themed show. Unfortunately for Mr. Gokey, he didn’t bother to practice or learn the lyrics. At the very beginning of the performance, his lyric sheet blew away and he proceeds to spend the rest of the song stumbling around like a real amateur.
