When The Paradiso Girls stopped in Denver for a performance at Club Beta, you know I had to be there. It was a beautiful Sunday night and one for the history books as far as partying is concerned. The club wasn’t packed due to some unfortunate promotion, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the night and these lovely ladies. During his recent visit to his hometown of Milwaukee, Danny Gokey, chose to sing “Billie Jean”, his song choice for the Michael Jackson themed show. Unfortunately for Mr. Gokey, he didn’t bother to practice or learn the lyrics. At the very beginning of the performance, his lyric sheet blew away and he proceeds to spend the rest of the song stumbling around like a real amateur. Idol’s Season 5 contestant, Elliott Yamin, celebrated mild success with his first, self-titled, album, but he’s back with his sophomore album, Fight For Love. Last night’s Idol results show really showed up in a big way. Although, I think the thing is rigged – Alison definitely should have stayed, while Danny should have gone-key! But, the performances from last night’s show were awesome! I wouldn’t have predicted this, but Paula Abdul performance was the highlight of the show.
