Live Or Die (Feat. Amanda Valentine)

The third episode of Listen! It’s Vetrano features a familiar face to my channel: Amanda Valentine. When Amanda returned to Nashville after her first stint on Season 11 of Project Runway in 2013, she stopped by to chat and help me pick celebrity superlatives. Now, upon the return of my web series –and after a return to the fashion competition series’ 13th season landed her in the runner up position– Valentine is back on the my channel. This time around, we play the popular YouTube game ‘Live or Die’ and gossip about Bravo celebrities. See who goes down in flames in the all new Listen! It’s Vetrano in the video above. After you watch the…

    Best Burgers: Nashville

When you’re in search of the best burgers in Nashville, V for Vetrano comes to your rescue. As a self-appointed burger aficionado, and after many visits to the best (and worst) dining in Music City, I often get asked about where to eat. A tough question when you’re dealing with picky eaters with tons of dietary or preferential restrictions. But there is one thing that never fails: burger places. So long as the menu offers a vegetarian (typically a black bean) burger option, you can always turn to the American classic. As Nashville grows and new dining options pop up on each block corner, it might be tough to decide which ones are…

    Nashville Notables: Leslie Fram

In Nashville, hit songs fill the streets like water on a rainy day and stars are easy to find in the city’s top establishments, but there’s more to Music City than might initially meet the eye. A leader in America’s professional landscape, Nashville is home to many start-ups, large corporations and crucial industries. And while it’s fun to learn more about our favorite celebrities; those that spend most of their time in front of cameras or behind microphones sharing their voices, it’s the people behind them that are making the difference. In an effort to give readers a well-rounded view of the city I call home, I am launching “Nashville Notables,” an interview series with…

    Feys Lift: Tasteful Spaces

It’s 6 o’clock. I’m hungry, I’m antsy and I’m trying to figure out if my new bright blue Cole Haan shoes are too loud for my outfit. I need to choose from the many Nashville restaurants a place to eat dinner, finding somwhere that will satisfy both my appetite and my requirement for good lighting. With a glass of wine in hand and Uber on their way, I make a decision and give Bugsy a kiss goodnight. How did I come about my decision you may be wondering. I believe that pairing great food with inspirational design can make magic, which is more difficult than you might expect. Often times…

Hollywood With A Touch of Twang Pt. 2

When I moved to Nashville almost five years ago, I was a bright-eyed, celebrity obsessed music lover that was anxious to explore all that Music City had to offer. After the first year of settling into my new home, I broke from my music-related blogging (on my music blog Tragic Kingdom) to provide readers with some of my favorite Nashville hot spots and places to add to their itinerary if bumping into country music royalty was on their list of things to do. In fact, it may have been that very post that led to the creation of Listen! It’s Vetrano and the more Lifestyle, Nashville-focused blog you’re reading (and loving, no doubt) today.…

    Saint Anejo Brunch

At one time the brunch options in Nashville were very limited. And of the ones offered, they were usually overcrowded and not worth the wait. I mean, I can make some mean scrambled eggs. However, in the last year most of the Music City hot-spots have added a Sunday (and sometimes Saturday) brunch menu to accompany their offerings. So it was no surprise that M Street Entertainment, the restaurant group who also operates a handful of successful establishments in town, are launching a new brunch menu at Saint Anejo — the group’s least successful — this weekend. Saint Anejo launched in 2013 with a promising menu that included their take on a…

    Nashville Gift Guide

If you’re anything like me, you’re probably rushing around for those last minute gift ideas for your significant other, co-workers, friends and/or family. I spend eleven and a half months scratching my head thinking of what to get the people closest to me for the holly, jolly time of year and then, in the final hours before Santa’s impending arrival, get stuck creatively and land on those little pieces of plastic: the dreaded gift card. So, in an effort to be more creative and support local businesses, I’ve compiled some great Nashville-based brands that make perfect holiday gifts and tell your loved one that you’ve done more than pursued the…

Adele ‘Falls’ into New Bond Film

It was no surprise that when producers began looking for Bond’s new it-girl to sing the theme for the upcoming film Skyfall, they were drawn to the voice of last couple years. It was confirmed that Adele would perform the theme song for the upcoming Bond movie – the franchise’s 23rd. The song, which was recorded at Abbey Road Studios and is rumored to share the film’s title, is expected to premiere in a few weeks followed by the film’s release on November 9.

Hollywood With A Touch of Twang

One of the best things about moving to a new city is discovering its local cuisine and the favorite hot spots of its residents.  In Nashville, this means being in the company of some chart topping artists and well-known songwriters.  Since my move to this great city, which was almost a year ago (WOW!), readers, friends and family have asked me my recommendations on my favorite spots in town.  Although a bit of a detour from the music-related posts, I put together some of my picks to add to your itinerary if you’re planning a trip to Music City anytime soon. Start your day at one of the great coffee…

    20/20 Vision

Adam Lambert was on 20/20 last week to discuss his recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine. The interview, with Chris Connelly, touched on his run on Idol, growing up, and, of course, coming out. If you missed the interview, have no fear – check it out below, along with an exclusive interview with Lambert’s brother that did not air on the original telecast. Also, Adam recently won a Young Hollywood award for Artist of the Year, which was presented to him by Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi. This news made us wonder, can you even be nominated for an Artist of the Year award without an album? And, “Wait…who won Idol…
