The 10th Annual UMS Conquers Denver!
The Underground Music Showcase, or better known to locals as The UMS, took Denver by storm this year as it celebrated its 10th anniversary. And after 10 years, the festival brought its best talent, biggest turnout, and most memorable moments yet. It kicked off on Wednesday with Civil Twilight, Paper Tongues, and Neon Trees at the Bluebird Theater. Tragic Kingdom favorite, Neon Trees, and my new friend, lead singer Tyler Glenn, set the bar for an incredible Denver weekend. And once the festival began on South Broadway, it was non-stop madness. The Underground Music Showcase – now known simply as The UMS – is excited to welcome over 300 local and national bands, singer-songwriters, and comedians to 30 of the best local venues when The UMS takes over 10 blocks of Denver’s South Broadway from July 22nd thru July 25th. The UMS, which has grown to be the largest indie music festival in the Western United States in just 10 short years, started as a one day event featuring five local bands.
