Giveaway: Kelly Clarkson & The Fray Tickets!

    September 2, 2012 /

Kelly Clarkson sure has had a busy summer! Her latest album ‘Stronger’ has already delivered three hit singles, she served as a mentor on ABC’s series Duets, landed herself a big-wig boyfriend and has been traveling around the U.S. with fellow rockers, The Fray. It’s no doubt that she’ll be closing the tour (on Sept. 15th) in Nashville with a bang – and Tragic Kingdom will be there to capture every moment – but before we celebrate her choice for Music City, let’s look…

    Artist To Watch: Josiah Leming

    July 16, 2012 /

After capturing the attention of millions across the world, Josiah Leming is preparing for the success that was apparent since he was a small child. It was at age 8 that the American born performer self-taught himself piano and began composing music in his childhood home in Morristown, Tennessee. The singer-songwriter withdrew from high school, packed up his car, – which became the roof over his head – and moved to Texas.…

    July 16, 2012 /

After a 10 year hiatus, the band that inspired this very blog is back! No Doubt returns with their first single of their upcoming record ‘Push & Shove’. And I have to admit, I was nervous about what “Settle Down” would sound like. Would they still have it? Would it deliver in the way so many were expecting? Would Gwen & Co. be able to get back to the top? Well, the answer is yes… Yes… and YES! “Settle Down” is an instant classic, giving listeners what they always loved about the ska-pop/rock band, but without sounding recycled. Listen to the new single below right now and be sure to…

    Crouching Martin, Hidden Rihanna

    June 4, 2012 /

The long awaited video for Coldplay‘s recent collaboration with Rihanna surfaced online this morning. “Princess of China” is the band’s forth single from the album Mylo Xyloto and created quite a stir when the album was released, including the R&B diva. The video features the band’s Chris Martin as a stealth ninja (kicks and swords included) and Rihanna as a self-proclaimed [on Twitter] “gangsta goth geisha.” The two are shown in a variety of scenes that are reminiscent of those from the 2000 flick ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’ and the clip is edited to appear as a trailer for a tragic love story. As they’d say in the movies, I…

First Listen: Carrie Underwood "Two Black Cadillacs"

    April 25, 2012 /

On May 1st, Carrie Underwood returns with her fourth studio album Blown Away. The fourteen track country crossover album, including the hit first single “Good Girl”, was named one the “Most Anticipated Albums of the Year” by Entertainment Weekly.  After first listen to the country record, the standout track tells a dark story of man who faced the result of two women scorned by his infidelity.  “Two Black Cadillacs” is what country music has lacked since the genre became obsessed with mainstream appeal, ironically when Underwood’s Idol win landed her in Nashville and Taylor Swift hit the road with the Jonas Brothers and Justin Beiber.  Listen to “Two Black…
