Throwback Thursday: Summer Playlist

As the storms that rocked our nation in the final stretch of summer begin to clear and the healing begins, cooler temps arrive to remind us that the season is officially coming to an end. If you’re like me, you’re eagerly anticipating the colder, sweater weather. But more than just the PSLs and crisper fall air, the season delivers fresh new albums from many anchoring artists in music. The ladies are set to rule the fall season this year with releases from Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Camila Cabello, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, P!nk, Shania Twain and more set to drop before the holiday season arrives. But before we usher in the new tunes, let’s hit rewind on the season past with a summer playlist that highlights the best tracks featuring the hot season in the name.

From Justin Timberlake‘s “Summer Love” to Cassadee Pope‘s “Summer.” This summer playlist has something for everyone. Rock-n-roll to hip-hop, country to pop. Though it isn’t my favorite season, I admit summer themed music has the best soundtrack to match the warm weather. Beer-drinking, dance-floor calling good times in three minute tracks. And now they’re compiled together for a grand finale of summertime hits.
