Let Kelly Clarkson Move You: The Deep Cuts
She’s back! Kelly Clarkson debuted her highly anticipated new single “Love So Soft” this morning. The singer took to her socials over the last week to tease the new single with imagery and short clips of the track. Then yesterday, she teased the hashtag #MoveYou accompanied by a clip of what sounds like another track causing the internet to go into a frenzy. “Is a full Clarkson album on the way?,” “Are we getting a double dose of new Kelly goodness?”
This morning, along with Clarkson’s new fiery single, she dropped the emotional new ballad “Move You,” along with the artwork (seen below) and title of her upcoming album. When talking to People magazine about the new album, titled The Meaning Of Life, Clarkson says, “It’s my favorite thing I’ve ever done. I’ve been dying to make this record since Idol.”
Her career has been on fire since her win as America’s first Idol. Seven full-length albums, including a jam packed Greatest Hits collection, Grammy Awards and an incredibly loyal fanbase. Kelly Clarkson has proven real talent can have life after reality TV. Something The Voice and even later seasons of American Idol could not deliver.
After leaving longtime label RCA Records last year, Clarkson signed a long-term deal with Atlantic Records, where she’s been working on new music that she said will draw on soul and R&B for inspiration. While details about The Meaning of Life are scarce, the singer is clearly preparing for her return to her roots. And let’s show her some R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
In an effort to prepare our minds, bodies and souls for the new album, let Kelly Clarkson move you with this curated playlist of her deepest cuts and the two new Clarkson classics.
