Happy Memorial Day

Katharine McPhee, the runner up to season 5’s Idol winner, Taylor Kicks, has been a busy lady this last year. After her first album failed to take off, due to a lack of promotion from the label, the singer dabbled in acting, making her debut in “The House Bunny” with Anna Faris. But, now she is back with a new label, a new husband, and a new album being released later this year.

And even though she’s been out of the public eye, minus her recent run in with the paps and a, now famous, homeless woman, she stopped by the National Memorial Day Concert to prove she still has the pipes that won her the votes to send her into the finale on Idol a few years ago. Take a look at Ms. (now a Mrs.) McPhee take on “America The Beautiful” and “Somewhere”.
