Top 13 Show Announcement
Did everyone watch last night as the Idol hopefuls debuted their act on the big stage? I’ll save my comments for tomorrow’s post, but I had to address some major concerns that you Idol lovers out there were having.
Everyone is up in arms about Ryan’s big announcement that the judges would change the rules tonight. And I am here to put your minds at ease. No, they aren’t picking who goes and stays, as some people might be reporting. Before the season started Idol producer, Ken Warwick, stated in an interview that they were going to mix it up a bit this season by adding an element to the judges voting power that they tested in the French version of the hit show. So, after a little research, I am happy to announce that this year the judges will have a veto power. But this can only be used once in the season, so they have to use it carefully. I, personally, love this added part. We all remember Chris Daughtry’s sudden and unexpected exit that left America AND the judges mortified that they had just made a HUGE mistake, expecially since Taylor Hicks took the title that year. Luckily for Idol and for us, Daughtry went on to sell millions of albums anyway. But now we have the power of the veto to save us from making another horrible mistake. So, hopefully that put your minds at ease and you can enjoy tonight’s show, with special guests Kayne West and Kelly Clarkson. Now, we’ve been wrong before, but this is almost 100% confirmed by our sources.
Oh, and by the way, how many of you tried calling for Alexis last night and accidentally ended up talking to a phone-sex operator who kept saying you call her Alexis if that was your wish??? Akward…
Enjoy tonight’s show y’all and check back tomorrow for my full report on last night’s performances and tonight’s results.
