The Best of Men’s 2018 Fashion (…So Far)
Though fall fashion is my favorite season to style, I’ve recently found myself enamored with the previews of trends for men’s 2018 fashion. Everything for the cooler spring temps to the warmer sunny days. It looks like 90’s grunge is making its way back to the forefront with an updated touch of class and 70’s inspired short shorts are setting the bar (or length, rather) for the warmer weather.
As you start to pack away the cozy sweaters and prepare for the seasons ahead, here’s a list of my must-haves to keep you at the top of the best-dressed list for men’s 2018 fashion.
Men’s 2018 Fashion Must-Haves
Armie Hammer: Okay, so I suppose you can’t have Armie Hammer. But when it comes to his character Oliver from Call Me By Your Name‘s wardrobe, you can. The preppy, summer looks are going to be everything you need this summer. So pop a few buttons on your linen shirt, and throw on some short shorts and you’re set!
Camel Coat: The camel coat is an essential spring jacket. It’s neutral, so pairing with black, brown or other neutrals makes it the go-to jacket in your closet. The length screams sophistication, while the color keeps it casual and easy to wear. Dressed down (as seen above) with distressed denim is such a perfect ten, but this jacket also takes your look to the next level when dressing up. A must-have!
Sophisticated Grunge: The 90’s make their return with a touch of sophistication this year. The classically grunge look of flannel shirts, baggy pants, and leather gets an upgrade. Looser fit clothing is making a comeback in a major way on the runways, so expect to see more comfort in the men’s wardrobe. In addition, I love the flannel wrapped around the waist with rolled denim and a tee look.
Bomber jackets: Bombers have crept into style trends for the last few years in a variety of ways, but this spring they are essential. The classic Tom Cruise in Top Gun styled version is always classic. But brands everywhere are doing their own take with scrunched sleeves, zippers, snaps, etc. It doesn’t matter which one you choose, just make sure you have one to layer on top of your men’s 2018 fashion.
Top Buttoned Polos: Polo shirts are classic and your closet should already have the basics. If not, let’s talk. This year, though, button it right up to the top for an updated style of this classic look. It’s an easy win for a comfortable, but modern appearance.
