Honey, I’m Home in Vegas

The world waited patiently to see what Shania Twain‘s next move would be after learning whose bed her husband’s, boots had been under (hint: it wasn’t hers).  Hopeful fans crossed their fingers that the singer, who hasn’t had a new record out since 2004, would pour herself into her music.  Unfortunately for those fans, there hasn’t been any new tunes from the lady of country, who’s hits include “Man! I Feel Like A Woman”, “Honey I’m Home”, and “Any Man of Mine”.  But with her divorce to music producer, Mutt Lange, finalized in June, it looks like Twain is finally ready to move on.  Literally.

Word is quietly starting to spread that Twain will join fellow Canadian songbird, Celine Dion, in her own permanent show in rotation at the Colosseum in Las Vegas early next year.  With negotiations still pending, the news has not yet been made public, but sources say it will likely happen.  In April, Twain announced plans for her own reality series on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network to debut in early 2011 and the release of her autobiography for spring 2011.  Leading us to believe this next year could be the comeback her fans have been wishing for since Twain, herself, broke news of a new album in the works back in August of 2007. Unfortunately the latest word from her label indicated a new record from the singer is still “nowhere in sight”.  But, maybe the Vegas lights will inspire some new tunes.

Viva Shania!
