R.I.P.

As you all know by now, it has been a devastating week in the entertainment industry.

First, Ed McMahon passed away and then yesterday morning Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer. But it was the news the the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, had suffered cardiac arrest on Thursday afternoon and died shortly after that left the world stunned. Jackson, who was scheduled to begin his last tour from London in two weeks, leaves behind his three children and millions of adoring fans, who have shown a huge outpouring of admiration and love for the legendary hit maker on blogs, MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter.

Fellow celebs also took a moment to reflect on the inspiring Michael Jackson. Britney Spears tweeted immediately after the news was confirmed, “He has been an inspiration throughout my entire life and I am devastated he is gone”. Madonna also released a statement reacting to the news: “I can’t stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless.”

His music will live on as some of the greatest the pop genre has ever heard and his legend will continue to live on for eternity. And wherever Michael is, I hope he is looking down and able to see the impact he has made on the world. Michael, thank you for inspiring us with your tunes and for making music that touched so many. Your music is an inspiration and will continue to be throughout the rest of my life.

We wish the families of McMahon, Fawcett, and Jackson our best wishes and strength. And may they all rest in peace!
