Is Real Housewives Coming to Music City?
ANDY COHEN SHARES HIS CHOICE FOR THE NEXT CITY IN THE REAL HOUSEWIVES FRANCHISE EXCLUSIVELY WITH E! NEWS
While walking the red carpet at the 2018 Critics Choice Awards, Andy Cohen told E! News exclusively that he’d had his eye on a certain musical city for the next city in the Real Housewives franchise.
“Nashville,” the Watch What Happens Live host told E! News’ Zuri Hall. “It’s a great city, and it has it’s own identity. There’s a lot of super rich people, and country superstars and music. It’s a great town.”
So could the Bravo crews be heading south to showcase the lifestyles of the Nashville elite?
There’s no confirmation if the show has even begun casting, but producers will have quite a feat if they decide to take on Music City. Though the city is deemed ‘Hollywood with a touch of twang,’ Nashville doesn’t have a rich history with reality TV success. When the production company that produces The Real Housewives of OC took a stab at Nashville wives with Secret Lives of Nashville Wives (pictured above from TNT) a few years ago, it ended abruptly and failed to gain attention of the masses. And apart from the ABC turned CMT series Nashville, which dramatizes the music industry in town, Nashville’s television success has come up short.
Perhaps with Andy Cohen at the helm of production, bringing his expertise to the mix, we might soon see some familiar faces joining the ranks of Teresa Guidice, Nene Leakes and Bethenny Frankel.
