    Top Songs of 2018

Listen, you know I love music of all genres. But 2018 delivered some of the most delicious ear candy I’ve heard in a long time.  Dance floor inspired bops like “The Middle” and “Havana” were my go-to Friday night songs. While country’s spillover into the pop genre continued with hits from my friends Cassadee Pope and Dan + Shay, proving that they can redefine the genre.  Newcomers MØ, joan, and The Aces were my favorite ‘artists to watch,’ while veteran Ariana Grande bounced back from Sweetener with her biggest track to date.  All 15 of these jams are 2018’s Top Songs of the Year, so slip on your favorite headphones, and reminisce on…

    Music Monday Playlist: The Magnettes

Listen! It’s Vetrano artist-to-watch, The Magnettes take over my Spotify account to curate a list of songs that inspire and move them (and me, too!). The girls, who have set out to “reclaim the word ugly” with their fresh Icona Pop-meets-Sleigh Bells sound, are currently promoting their latest single “Killers In A Ghost Town.” “Why does beautiful have to be the standard?,” they said, “we think speaking your mind and being weak, weird, sad, anything but perfect, and ultimately real is cool. [It’s] “about claiming your space and identity. About growing up as…

The weather has started to take its highly anticipated turn towards the sun. Patios are filling up with anxious people, ready to throw on their shorts and flip-flops and enjoy an icy cold beer in the sun. And though my allergies are worse than ever, the warmer air makes me want to drop the windows and pop the top with a fresh playlist of March music to kick off the Spring. With new tunes emerging from some of my favorite divas like Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson and Adele, and fresh new talents like Maren Morris delivering ideal music for road trips, this Spring is filling up with plenty of tunes to wet your musical…

Music Monday: Amanda Valentine’s Soft Fall

Amanda Valentine is celebrity fashion designer and Listen! It’s Vetrano contributor, regularly writing her advice column ‘#AskAmanda.’ This week Valentine steps into the driver seat of ‘LIV’ regular series Music Monday to share some of her favorite fall music.  As a rabid, obsessive lover of music –I’d be in a metal band right now if I wasn’t a fashion designer– I give you some of my go-to fall jams.  Some of the songs are old favorites, some are new finds. This is a “drive with the windows down for a little while longer” or “turn on and do some work” or… whatever, this playlist rules! It starts out with RJD2, a favorite of mine for decades now —…

LIV’s Break Up Songs 1. Kelly Clarkson – Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You) 2. Beyonce – Irreplaceable 3. The Script – The Man Who Can’t…
