Danielle Bradbery’s ‘Heart of Dixie’
It’s been less than a month since 16-year old Danielle Bradbery was crowned the Season 4 winner of “The Voice,” but the upcoming country singer is set to release her debut single “Heart Of Dixie” next week. The single tells the story of a woman (not a girl), who leaves her dead end job, dead-beat husband and life behind in pursuit of a better life. Awfully grown up lyrical content for a 16-year old, who many predicted would be the female answer to Hunter Hayes. The fresh-faced teen’s first performance on a stage was her blind audition on the hit NBC series, so songwriting was no hold up in getting…

Cassadee Pope Debuts First Single
Those that gave up hope that NBC’s hit series The Voice would deliver a star, after the first two season’s winners failed to launch, can rest easier now. Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope‘s first single since the show drops today (it hit iTunes late last night). The single “Wasting All These Tears” is the first from the singer’s debut solo album, which will drop later this fall. Since its release, the single has been shooting up the charts – currently #5 on iTunes country chart and quickly climbing. It’s not surprising though, as her singles from the competition show often landed in the top selling spot. Tonight, Pope will return to…

What The GIF? Vol. 4
The sun is shining and the allergies are in full swing, which can only mean one thing: it’s May! I realize my updates have been few and far between lately, but I promise it’s not because I don’t love you all (that only applies to some of you). The sun is shining, flowers are a bloom and there’s a new project being cooked up at V for Vetrano HQ (details coming soon). But I couldn’t let you go any longer without serving up another helping of What The GIF? With the nice weather, and my new project in full swing, I’m ready to get back into the routine of things…

What The GIF? Vol. 3
Yep, it’s that time again. If you’re not as obsessed with the GIF sitch as me, then you might be thinking… And that’s okay with me, but seriously What the GIF? How could you not love this week’s biggest headlines told by some high-larious GIFs? Let’s see if I can win you over with this week’s Top 10 — sometimes over exaggerated — headlines. #10 – Even Nicki Minaj’s unusual antics can’t save American Idol‘s ratings as they hit a series low. #9 – Demi Lovato will return to judges panel for Season 3 of The X Factor, but without Britney will it be the same? #8 – Spring Breakers…

Take 5: Liz Davis
She won the hearts of thousands last year on NBC’s The Voice, where she represented Nashville on Team Blake during the series’ third season. Since then, Liz Davis has been bringing her own brand of sass and kick-ass country to Music City. If you missed my two part interview with the singer with the big ole pipes from earlier this year, catch up now (part one / part two). And now, Davis is kicking off Tragic Kingdom’s newest segment: Take 5. We all love to know what inspires our favorite stars and want to know what – or who – is behind the lyrics of our favorite songs, but you…

Listen! It’s Vetrano!: Reality Hits Nashville
As a blogger in the digital age, I have the pleasure of sharing my thoughts and musical recommendations with thousands of people that I know personally (and intimately *wink, wink*) and others of whom I probably will never get the chance to meet. For those of you in the second category, I’m sorry I’ve neglected to introduce you to my highly inappropriate and snarky side. The side I’m most proud of, really. Since the New Year, I’ve had the pleasure of talking to many of my readers in Nashville about what they want to see on this space. That’s when “reality” hit me. So without further ado I introduce the…

Cassadee Pope is ‘The Voice’
As I predicted yesterday, Team Blake [Shelton]’s pop-rock diva Cassadee Pope was named the winner of NBC’s ‘The Voice’ during last night’s finale. Pope was a frontrunner throughout the course of the series’ third season with smooth vocal delivery and mainstream beauty. As promised, the finale was a star-studded spectacle with performances by Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, The Killers, Avril Lavigne and more. Each of the final three contestants took the stage with the stars in the 2-hour episode, as well as some of their fellow cast mates. Watch the Season 3 winner take on Imagine Dragons’ “It’s Time” with Liz Davis, De’borah and Melanie Martinez below and then head over…

The Voice: Season 3 Finale
Last night the final 3 contestants on NBC’s hit reality competition ‘The Voice‘ had one last chance to win over America’s vote. Ultimately it was a one-horse race as season frontrunner Cassadee Pope separated herself from the other two with her epic performances of Faith Hill‘s “Cry” and a rerun of her season breakout “Over You” – a track that coach Blake Shelton penned with his wife Miranda Lambert. Shortly after the former Hey Monday frontlady performed the Lambert hit on the show, radio stations across the nation picked up her version as a single. The first time a contestant from the series has had this kind of mass appeal before…

Interview with The Voice’s Liz Davis, Part II
On Thursday, I posted the first part of my Nashville interview with The Voice‘s Liz Davis. If you missed it catch up here and then enjoy the conclusion below. Interview with Liz Davis (continued)Chris: The show is shot in Los Angeles and you spent a significant amount of time there this year. Which do you prefer: LA or Nashville? Why? Liz: I love L.A., but I’ve got to say Nashville. Nashville is my home, I’ve been here for seven years. I actually see some parts of L.A. in Nashville, but overall I prefer a small town. I’m a country singer and this feels more me. I love the beach and weather in…

First Listen: Christina Aguilera’s New Album "Lotus"
Christina Aguilera has been sharing her gifted voice with the world since she landed a role on Disney’s ‘Mickey Mouse Club’ alongside fellow Mouseketeer’s Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Matt Morris and Ryan Gosling. After shedding her mouse ears Aguilera reinvented herself with each new album and era of her -now long- career. And while it hasn’t always been easy for the controversial singer, she continues the fight to gain the respect that her impressive pipes deserve. No one can argue that tracks like “Beautiful” and “The Voice Within” will likely earn her a spot among the greats, but her attempts at further reinvention haven’t always proved successful. Her last two albums Back to Basics and Bionic, a role…
