Memphis, Tennessee, is well-known for its music scene, and perhaps best-known around the world for being home to Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley. The music scene in the city is definitely one thing worth exploring, but there’s also more that the city has to offer. Memphis is a city that has a lot of history and is brimming with culture. If you’re thinking of visiting Memphis, there are many different things for you to do, whether you like to be active or you prefer to just sit down and be entertained. Connect to the Music

Memphis has a fantastic music scene, and it features in plenty of songs too. While Graceland might be the main musical attraction, there are more recent musical attractions of the city that are worth paying attention to as well. There are live music venues aplenty, whether you like blues, rock’n’roll, or anything else. Beale Street is the place to find many of the city’s venues, but there are options beyond there too. You can find classical music at the Halloran Centre or head to Hi-Tone for a dive bar atmosphere and a variety of music, from rock to hip-hop.

Learn Some History

History buffs definitely won’t get bored in Memphis. From museums to historical walking tours, you can discover the city’s fascinating history in different ways. If you’re a fan of museums, you can visit the Memphis Rock n Soul Museum, the Memphis Cotton Museum, or maybe the National Civil Rights Museum. Or if you prefer to discover the history of a city by walking around it, you can discover everything from the Victorian Village Historic District to Memphis Central Station and Confederate Park. There are worse ways to explore Memphis than by eating yourself through it. Memphis has a great food scene, with all kinds of cuisines available. As well as many places to eat, you’ll discover a huge range of options for drinking too. If you’re someone who prefers to be outdoors, there are ways you can get out and about both in and around Memphis, Tennessee. Walking tours are a great way to explore the city and get in some light exercise. Or for a slightly more active option (with added drinking), you could also try a party bike.
