11 YEARS 🌇

As one chapter of life was comi 11 YEARS 🌇

As one chapter of life was coming to a close, I made a life changing decision to pack up what I could and move from my hometown in Colorado to Nashville. I had no plan, no job, and no idea what I was doing. We had just wrapped the 10th Anniversary of The UMS, feeling both accomplished and exhausted. As we packed up what remained from that milestone, I packed up my car and what I could fit into my rented trailer and hit the road. 🛻 Little did I know then that I was embarking on an 11 year adventure that would change my life in so many meaningful ways. From working in the industry that I dreamed about as a young child to finding true love and building the family and foundation I had longed for most of my life. July 27, 2010 was the start of an incredible journey and the continuation to my story. 📚 While my heart will be tied to my Denver-born roots, today belongs to Music City. The place I landed 11 years ago. 💖 Though I don’t know where the next 11 may take me, I know now that the story continues and I’m ready for what’s next. For now, I am home.🔮

I can’t believe it’s been 17 years. 💔 My m I can’t believe it’s been 17 years. 💔 My mom was my best friend for 18 years and now she’s been gone for almost just as long. As the years go by, life does move on, but the void can never be filled. 💔 If you’re one of those lucky enough to have your mom in your life, do me a favor today. Call her, hug her tighter, and tell her you love her. For me, for you, for all of us that don’t have the chance to today. 💔 I love you, Mom. Continue to rest peacefully. ❤️
5 YEARS! ⑤ As I celebrate the milestone of bein 5 YEARS! ⑤ As I celebrate the milestone of being a part of the @lyft team for 5 years today, I can’t help but be reminded of the memories and people that have been a part of my story thus far. From the first time I walked through the door in the new Nashville-based office to manage the company’s first social media support team out of an old supply closet, I knew I was in for a wild “ride.” 🚘 Since that day, I’ve had the pleasure of managing more than 60 incredible team members, met countless four-legged friends, led our first LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, launched our support org for the company’s new Transit, Bikes, and Scooters line of business, traveled all over the country, spoken at a handful of conferences, thrown “shade” like it was my full-time job, and learned a lot from some of the coolest and smartest people in the biz. Many whom I now only refer to as friends.  ✅ After a crazy challenging year, it’s been amazing to pause and remember some of the incredible memories I’ve made over the past five. To all those who have been a part of my journey so far and that will be in the future, it’s been an absolute pleasure. #TeamLyft #MakeItHappen 💓
Feeling thankful for these two 🧡 This year has Feeling thankful for these two 🧡 This year has been rough to say the very least. But in the most stressful times, it’s important to pause and think about what makes us grateful. A shift of mindset can do amazing things for your day, your mood, and your mental health. We focus a lot on the negative because it’s easy, but in this unpredictable challenge yourself to be grateful everyday. 🍁 So in the spirit of the holiday week, who/ what are you #thankful for this year? #Thanksgiving2020
