Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria Dishes It Up

SLIM & HUSKY PIZZA BEERIA SERVES UP MADE-TO-ORDER PIZZA FROM IT’S FIRST NASHVILLE LOCATION IN NASHVILLE’S NEW BUCHANAN ARTS DISTRICT

As a former resident of Nashville’s Germantown neighborhood, I like to follow the establishments popping up in that area. Especially when I can get my eat on. Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria has been on my radar for a while, but when it finally opened its doors in March I was skeptical that it was worth the long lines I’d heard were piling up down Buchanan Street.

I was wrong.

When I stopped by one day after work to experience the “life changing” slice of awesome, I arrived to a packed restaurant, line out the door and someone to greet me with a menu and to walk me through the process. Choose a size (either Slim or Husky), a sauce, cheese and toppings. I went down the assembly line with the staff, building my fairly basic pepperoni concoction. You can’t go wrong with a standard (and I suppose I’m #basic when it comes to pizza).

I grabbed an overly priced can of rosé (also #basic) and waited for the enthusiastic team to call my name. When my pizza was finished, it was everything I heard it would be. Fresh. Hot. Delicious! And the rest, they say, is history.

I’ve already been back several more times, each time discovering something new to love about this quirky but inventive spot. And clearly I am not alone. Slim & Husky’s is already priming their second location in Antioch and expanding their Buchanan Street location to include ready-made pizzas, merch and fresh cinnamon rolls.

Bottom line for all you foodies, locals and #basicb*tches, don’t just try Slim & Husky’s Pizza Beeria. Run there! Get in line, pick your toppings and save a seat for me!

Don’t Miss: The drizzles are an extra commodity that I missed my first time around since I stood at a table outside. The sauces are an absolute MUST to upgrade your pizza’s flavor, taking it to the next level.
Skip It: The beer is maybe a little too inventive and the wine selection is from a can and priced from a bottle. Skip it and get a drink for dessert down the street.
